Kenda Koncept Tires
Kenda Iron Cap Koncepts are hi-performance tires for sports or everyday use. The "Iron Cap" construction have the same layer of material under the tread that runs bead to bead adding strength to the tire as well as helping prevent punctures that the Kobra tires have. The Iron Cap tires claim 90% more puncture resistance and I put them to the test. The outer compound of the tire grabs very well on wood court surfaces and rolls beautifully down the sidewalk. The rolling weight is so light they are effortless to push and mounted on a set of Spinergy LX Sports they take only a finger to lift. Or if you are me, you mount them to a set of Glance Sun Billet aluminum wheels and get a bang for your buck.
Now these tires are strong fast and light-weight, but the cool factor of these tires is the obnoxious blue, red, yellow, or green that they come in. Kenda DR(dual rubber) colored tires are not only killer looking but tough as well. I have to say I put these tires though their paces and they came out with flying colors, no pun intended.
Both tires claim 3-4 times more life than regular gray rubber tires and I have to say they are pretty close. I brutalized these tires for over 6 months each with very little wear on the tread.
