As of today I have officially been in a wheelchair for 13 years and, "boy, what a long, strange trip it has been."

Freedom Ryder FRH-1 Test n Tune: Day 2

I took the Freedom Ryder FRH-1 out for a second day of testing and tuning. I found a good ride to cruise that was all uphill for the first half and then back down the same hills for the last half. The ride was just under 12 miles round trip. There was some nice scenery the further you got out of the city.

16 years ago today, my life changed forever in an instant. Some feel sorry for me, with comments of “oh, that sucks” after I explain why I am in a wheelchair. Some think this was a terrible thing to happen to me.

Tattoos

My tattoos tell my story for all to see. I was told long ago that I wear my heart on my sleeve and now my history is there as well. Also they were done as a showing of determination in the struggle a difficult goal and seeing something through to the end.
